Overview

A full day in the Aconcagua Valley: the petroglyphs of Paidahuén Archaeological Park among the vines of Viña San Esteban, a cellar visit and tasting and the alpacas of Quintessence, with its fibre mill and boutique.

    Meet your guide at the MUT (Mercado Urbano Tobalaba), next to Tobalaba metro.

    08:30Drive to the Aconcagua Valley 90 min

    About 1 hour 30 minutes north to San Esteban, near Los Andes, with the Andes ahead.

    10:00Paidahuén Archaeological Park 60 min

    An easy trail up the hill among the vines to the petroglyphs: rocks carved centuries ago by the ancient peoples of the valley, with views over the Aconcagua.

  4. 04

    11:00Vineyard, cellar and tasting 75 min

    A guided walk through the vineyard and barrel room of Viña San Esteban, then a tasting of three wines from its In Situ line with a board of cheese and nuts. The glass is yours to keep.

    12:15Lunch stop 75 min

    Lunch on your own at a spot with several options (US$25–40), vegetarian choices included.

    13:30On to Llay Llay 45 min

    A short drive down the valley to the alpaca farm.

    14:15Quintessence Alpacas 90 min

    A family farm with more than 25 years breeding fine alpacas: meet the herd in all its natural colours, see the genetic centre and the mill where the fibre is sorted, spun and knitted, and visit the boutique.

    Return drive to the MUT, Tobalaba.

Good to know

Small group of up to 10 travellers, or private. Tuesday to Friday. The petroglyph trail is an easy uphill walk. Wine tasting for adults; children are welcome and get a non-alcoholic option. Departure from the MUT (Mercado Urbano Tobalaba, Tobalaba metro); hotel pickup can be added when booking.

  • Runs with 2 people. If a departure does not reach it, we tell you in advance and you choose: another date at no cost, private (paying the difference) or a full refund.
  • Never more than 10 people per group: if there are more bookings on the same day, we split the group.
  • Online booking closes 48 hours before the start: the wineries need this notice to confirm your visit.
  • Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the start.
  • We meet at a fixed, easy-to-find point (photo and directions below and in your voucher).
  • Hotel pickup in the city of Santiago can be added when booking.
  • Pay by card (Mercado Pago), PayPal, bank transfer (CLP, USD or EUR) or Pix; instant confirmation by email.

Good to know

  • We leave on time from the meeting point; travel times are approximate and may shift with traffic.
  • At the wineries you share the visit and the tasting with other visitors; your guide stays with you all day.
  • The order of the visits may change to fit the wineries’ schedules.
  • If a winery closes unexpectedly, we replace it with one of a similar level or refund the difference.
  • Tastings are for adults (18+). Minors can join the visit when the winery allows it.

How to get there
Metro Tobalaba (Lines 1 and 4): take the exit to Av. Apoquindo; the MUT is right there. We meet at its main entrance on Apoquindo, under the MUT sign.
