1. Who we are

Original Chile is a tour operator based in Santiago, Chile, registered with Sernatur (Chile’s National Tourism Service) under No. 108396. Contact: contact@originalchile.com · bookings@originalchile.com · WhatsApp +56 9 9923 9310. Santiago, Chile.

2. Accepting these terms

By booking and paying on this website you accept these terms, the cancellation policy and the privacy policy, in the version published at the time of booking. We may update them; changes never affect bookings already made.

3. Bookings and confirmation

A booking is confirmed when the payment is approved or, if you pay by bank transfer, when the full amount is credited to our account. You will receive a confirmation email with your booking reference, date, start time, meeting point and the details of the experience. Please check it and tell us about any error as soon as possible.

The person who books must be 18 or older, is responsible for the group in the booking and confirms that every traveller meets the requirements shown on the tour page (age, fitness, certifications). Minors must travel with a responsible adult.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are per person, in Chilean pesos (CLP), and are the final price: nothing is added at checkout. They include what is listed under “What’s included”. Amounts in other currencies are approximate and for reference only. Card payments are processed by Mercado Pago in CLP. PayPal payments are charged in US dollars at the exchange rate shown before paying; your bank or PayPal may apply their own fees. We never see or store your card details. You can also pay by bank transfer in CLP, USD or EUR: USD and EUR amounts are calculated with the exchange rate shown when booking; the transfer must arrive in full (bank fees are paid by the sender) before the deadline shown (24 hours for CLP, 48 hours for USD and EUR, available only for tours at least 2 or 5 days away, respectively); if it does not arrive in time, the booking is released. We issue the corresponding electronic tax document.

5. Right of withdrawal

As informed before payment, the right of withdrawal (“derecho a retracto”, art. 3 bis, Law 19,496) does not apply to these dated tourism services. Our free-cancellation policy applies instead.

6. Cancellations, changes and refunds

7. When we cancel or change a tour

If a tour cannot run because of weather, safety, strikes, venue closures or other causes beyond our control, we offer another date or a full refund. Itineraries may change on the day for safety, weather, traffic or venue opening hours; if a stop cannot be visited we replace it with an equivalent one whenever possible.

8. On the tour

Follow the instructions of the guide and the certified operators, especially in adventure activities. The guide may exclude a participant who endangers themselves or others, or who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs before an activity that requires sobriety; in that case no refund applies. Alcohol is served only to people aged 18 or over.

9. Third-party services

Some experiences include services provided by third parties (wineries, restaurants, museums, transport, certified adventure operators). We select and coordinate them, and we answer to you for the services you booked as provided in article 43 of Law 19,496, without prejudice to our rights against those providers. Their own safety rules apply on site.

10. Health, accessibility, insurance and belongings

We recommend travelling with medical and travel insurance. Tell us before the tour about any health condition, allergy or mobility need relevant to the activity so we can advise you. You are responsible for your personal belongings.

11. Liability

Original Chile provides the services booked with due diligence and is not liable for events of force majeure or acts of God (natural events, strikes, decisions of the authorities). Nothing in these terms limits the rights granted to you by Law 19,496 on Consumer Protection.

12. Photos

Guides may take photos during the tour and share them with you. We only use photos in which you can be identified in our communications if you authorise it.

13. Intellectual property

The texts, design and our own photos on this website belong to Original Chile. Third-party photos are used under their licences and credited on the photo credits page.

14. Complaints, law and jurisdiction

If something went wrong, write to us first and we will answer within 5 business days. You can also contact SERNAC (www.sernac.cl) or the competent court under Law 19,496. These terms are governed by the laws of Chile.
